Is WordRaid free?
Yes. Playing is completely free. There is an optional VIP with a few perks for those who want to support the project, but nothing essential depends on payment.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can start right away as a guest. Whenever you want, sign in with an account to save your progress, profile, friends, and ranking; playing with an account means nothing gets lost.
How does the game work, in short?
Teams compete by guessing words. Each round, one player gives a clue and teammates try to get the word within the time. Guessing in time scores points; answering faster gives no extra points. See the full guide in "How to play".
What is competitive (ranked) mode?
It is the mode where your matches count toward a season ranking. Wins improve your standing. Leaving matches or cheating in ranked has consequences, to keep everything fair.
What is VIP and what does it give?
VIP is an optional way to support WordRaid and get a few perks, such as browsing without ads, a highlighted name, an animated avatar, a profile cover, a discount on cosmetics, rooms with more teams, and no captcha. It does not affect match fairness: winning still depends on skill. WordRaid stays free for everyone; VIP is just optional support for the project.
Can I play with my friends?
Yes! Create a private or password room and share the access. You can also add friends, see who is online, and join matches together.
Can players from different countries play in the same room?
They can. Each room has a language, so you just need to agree on a common one. Quick search favors rooms in your language, but you can play with people from all over the world.
How do languages work?
Each language has its own word dictionary. When you create a room, you choose the language and the match only uses words from that dictionary.
Does the game work on mobile?
Yes, WordRaid runs in the browser on computers and phones. Just go to wordraid.fun and play.
How do I report a player or bad behavior?
Use the report button inside the game, which automatically sends the context to moderation. Cheating, harassment, and inappropriate content are taken seriously.
